On June 12, 2019, an interim event of the civic education program, "Future Generation" was organized by Guria Youth Resource Center at the Center for Democratic Engagement.
The event summarized the activities carried out in the second term of the 2019 academic year within the framework of the program. The students presented the outstanding activities they carried out.
The event also organized a review and evaluation of photos of the activities carried out by the civic clubs established in the program partner schools.
The event was attended by the teachers of the partner schools (Kviriketi, Tskhemliskhidi, Vakijvari, Baileti, Askana, Tskaltsminda, Bokhvauri), students, representatives of local self-government, non-governmental organizations, mass media, PH International.
The goal of the "Future Generation" program is to improve the civic education curriculum in schools and to apply the knowledge gained by students at the civic education lesson in practice; Promote the role of civil society for transparent and accountable governance by strengthening civic education among young people.
The Civic Education Program "Future Generation" is funded by PH International and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). The program is being implemented in 11 regions of Georgia. Guria Youth Resource Center is a program implementing partner in Guria region.
