“Guria Youth Resource Center” started implementing a new project “Learn, Exercise, Achieve, Receive, Network for Employment! (LEARN for Employment!)” to promote employment with partner organization by the support of EU.
Within the framework of the project, the employees of the organization met with Irakli Siradze, Deputy Mayor of Ozurgeti Municipality, Marina Japaridze, Head of Education, Culture, Sports, Youth, Health and Social Services, and Aleko Mameshvili, Head of Economic Development and Property Management Service. The meeting was informative.
At the meeting, the Deputy Mayor expressed readiness to support the implementation of the new project on behalf of the local self-government.
We would like to remind you that the 36 month project is being implemented in six regions of Georgia: Imereti, Guria, Racha-Lechkhumi, Adjara, Shida Kartli and Kakheti. Within the project “LEARN for Employment!” employing center starts to function in Guria region which offers job seekers to:
- Learn how to create CV, motivation letter and how to search preferable jobs;
- Engage in professional training / retraining course and master the preferable profession;
- Pass paid internship programs;
- Benefit from the help of qualified employment consultants in the process of find preferable job.
Within the project, 3240 job seekers will gain knowledge and improves their job seeking skills in the labor open market, out of which, 720 person will engage in professional training / retraining program – attached to the job teaching and internship programs, of which at least 50% will be employed.
The EU-funded project "Learn, Exercise, Achieve, Receive, Network for Employment! (LEARN for Employment!)“ is implemented by Education Development and Employment Center (EDEC), Telavi Education Development and Employment Center (TEDEC), Employment Agency of the Autonomous Region of Adjara (EAARA), Abkhazintercont (AIC) and Guria Youth Resource Center (GYRC).
